all dressed up - glamour shots from 1992.

is it just me or
do i blog about nothing but linky parties?
oh well.
it's fun.
and i need fun things right now.
so get over it.
if you've never played this one,
go visit
and get the 411.
basically, the rules are:
there are no rules.
just dress up.
take pictures.
blog it.
and link up.
cool?
cool.

for this week's theme i'm going back in time.
remember the good ole glamour shots?
ok then. enough said.
*enter into character mode*
so since i'm graduating this spring,
my parent's bought me some glamour shots
to use as my senior pictures.
oh my gosh.
can you say excited?!!?
i got to choose three "looks"
and of course i went straight for the
black leather jacket.
gosh i love that thing.
for the first look we went really natural.
not too much hair or makeup really.

i wanted to make sure
we got a good shot of Lover's class ring.
the lady was seriously SO genius.
she posed my hand perfectly to catch the shot.

for my second look i wanted to go a bit more mature.
i wore my homecoming dress
to fancy it up a bit.
the first shot was my favorite.
the photographer had this great idea
to have me lean back
as if i'm levitating in the shot.
it really shows the velocity in my hair.

we played a lot with colors in this look.
i told the lady i wanted to go all out beauty.
i ended up LOVING what she did.
i wanted to take her home
and use her sweet makeup skills every morning.
again, the hands.
genius...

since i AM from texas,
i had to do a cowgirl shot.
i was a little bummed
she didn't have a real cowboy hat
but,
i think it still looks amazing.
the fringe on the shirt
speaks loud and clear.

the thing i love about glamour shots
is that they can pretty much incorporate
anything you bring with you
into the shot.
and make it look completely natural.
Lover won me this turtle
at a carnival on our first date.
i decided to include it in the last picture
as a surprise for him.
he's gonna die.

*exiting character*
aaaaaaand there you have it.
oh.
and here was my lovely assistant for the day.
penny guy.
complete with makeup, scarf and turtle.

wanna dress up?

that's EXACTLY how you used to do your lips! I remember, chapstick, lipliner, lipstick, more lip liner and so on and so forth.

This is genius!

so the funny thing is is that your face really doesn't look different. I don't think you have aged a day. I think you look the same age now as you do in the pictures. You age very well :)

Froggylady said...

Was the choker in your third set because you actually did remove your head in the second one? It looks like it could totally be some electrical tape holding your head on your neck.

Hahaha! This is awesome! I remember wanting these so badly when I was like 13 that I saved up my allowance for months until I could pay for them myself. Hahahahahaha!!!
