pumpkins are orange. they are.

this last weekend my little (big actually) family
took a trip to the pumpkin patch.

i know this is stereotypical.
i know i do this every year.
blah blah blah.
but here are my pictures of babies in punkins.

sorry i rounded the corners so much on this one.
the dude taking the pic wanted to have his finger in it.
so croppity crop, i had to snip it out.
some people will do anything to be famous.

not the greatest picture,
but out of the 4 he took,
this was the best.
and the only one without a finger on my head.

here's where it gets all dumb and blogger-y...
each kid had a turn to pose in punkies.
my three big 'uns are pros.

jake. with his,
"i'm a preteen and i don't really know how to control my face yet"

i actually think this picture was my best attempt.
except for the coke stain on her white shirt.
and the ugly building in the background.
and the porta potty.
so this picture pretty much sucks.

perfect smiler as usual.
with little crescent moon eyes flipped downward.

who can't ever just be normal.
he always has to be the clown.
he specifically wanted his picture like this.
and since he's so frickin darn cute.
i couldn't resist.

he wasn't so sure about these pumpkins.
or what he was supposed to do with them.
and he would NOT look at me.
no way.
he acted embarrassed.

but finally,
after getting him to stop staring
at some random lady's booty bounce,
he decided to kiss the pumpkin.

cuz isn't that what you do at a pumpkin patch?
you kiss them all.

unless of course you're my good friend natalie.
then that would be bad.
and probably send her into
an anaphylactic germophobic shock.
so don't try that if you're a germy-phobe dude.
not smart.
would make a good video.
but not smart.

moving on.
i tried to get a group shot of the kids.
but after fail, fail and fail again.
i gave up.
we decided to screw pictures,
and just go buy our stinkin pumpkins for cryin out loud.

then we walked over the party store.
and tried on about every single mask they sold.

and i about died laughing my butt off with this one.
i don't think i've ever laughed harder.
it even trumps this post.

and then i decided
to be all, artsy photographer mom, again.
what a day.
the end.

I feel your pain about the pumpkin pictures... I posted yesterday the pictures from the pumpkin patch and the best one was when the little one had a massive meltdown!

I love the last picture! It's a keeper...

Thanks for return stopping at my blog. It's fun here, I'll have to stop by again. I see you have a Phil and Teds too. That made me like you more, not that I'm a stroller snob or anything. I mean, I can totally be friends with a Graco pusher. I should probably stop before the hole is to big to climb out of...
