This is why...

This is why I LOVE having Austin home!!
One less kid to carry.

This is why Miah had to go to the doctor last week. I've always thought he just had an
"outtie" but for his 4 year check up the doctor said it's an umbilical hernia and needs to be checked. We went to the pediatric surgeon last week which is where my wanna-be came from. The doctor said that it sticks out WAY too far to just leave alone and needs to be fixed. He said that Miah's intestines are in there pushing it out, which would explain why it never sucks in anymore (like it used to) and it continues to slowly grow bigger each year. Yikes. He said if left untreated, it will continue to stretch out to the point where BOWELS could actually get trapped in there!! Holy smokes. All of this was explained in an exciting Indian accent (which I LOVED listening to...red dot...not head dress).

SOOO, Tuesday Miah will have surgery to tuck it all back in giving him an "innie".

No big deal, but it IS surgery so that's no fun. Thank goodness it's not as painful as the last one...OUCH OH MOMMA.

This is why, on most days I usually end up arguing with Kora about her rare outfits. I pretty much ALWAYS lose, unless it's Sunday which I've claimed as "THE MOTHER'S DAY" so everyone has to wear what I want.

These pictures are from actual SCHOOL days.

Yes.

Embarrassing right?

But she's loves it. She owns it. She thinks she's hot stuff so why take that away from her?

Boots with shorts...that's hot.

This is why I have ALWAYS had a fear of sitting on the toilet and having a snake come up from the pipes and bite me on my butt. It obviously CAN happen. I almost sat on THIS little booger just two nights ago.

The kids thought he was wonderful. They asked if we could keep him in there as a pet.

I said, "NOOOO!!!!" and I shut the door announcing I would NEVER use that toilet again. 30 minutes later I had to pee again so I went back in there and he had managed to escape. I had Jake grab him and release him into the wild.

WOW!

Love it when the hubby can help.
Poor Miah, hope everything goes ok.
Kora is a trip, she is experiencing her creativity with her clothes. Mine once put her underwear on top of her clothes ;)

And the fear of getting bit, I know it all too well, but the frog would have scared the crap outta me too!

Yay for Austin being home! I bet the kids are so glad to see their daddy and you're ecstatic to have your hubby back. Good luck to Miah's belly button surgery...that looks painful. Kora is a trip! And yeah...I REFUSE to sit down on a toilet in the dark for that VERY reason...snakes! But a frog would OOG me out, too!

I have that same horrible fear of a snake coming up through the plumbing and attacking my a** while I'm on the toilet. LOL... Sometimes, if I get up in the night to pee and I'm too sleepy to turn the lights on, I'll get myself all worked up sitting there and jump up really fast and flip the lights on and glare at the toilet just waiting to see the snake slithering over the side darting for my butt.

Isn't that the most rediculous thing you've ever heard?

And I love how you guys cart Isaac around. Very creative.

And poor Miah. Make sure you keep us updated on that, I'll be saying prayers for him and his little bellybutton.

aww..miah..good thing you found this out...you don't need guts going anywhere!!

Glad for you that Austin is home.

Remember when Jakob was little and you would let him dress however he wanted. He liked wearing ties on weekdays. You told me that you didn't want to repress his creative energy and let him be who he was. I SO admired that about you!!! So..why the struggle with Kora? You can tell SHE will have her own style always...that is soo awesome!!

poor miah....keep us posted on how the surgery goes...

Finally! we can stop worry about you having a psychological breakdown now that Austin's back. I'd really like to ask Miah's doctor if there's any remote chance that bulging belly can possibly be the result of 50 year old, moldy seat cushions--cuz i think it might be. Poor little guy--i'm just glad it's not his bidness this time. I think your fear of the toilet is way more justified than your fear of spiders coming out of the shower head. So start showering again and stop using the toilet.

okay, miah's belly looks like a snorkel....remember those. probably not cause you're like 26. oh, no, wait, you're OLD now so maybe you do. if not, do a google.

i'm with ya on the secret fear of snakes in the toilet. at least you got a neon green frog...he knew you needed something to blog about. :)

and, kora, ignore your mom. you're rockin' it with your fashion sense!

Wow, poor Miah...so sorry surgery is never fun. BTW really cute frog! Kora reminds me of my Austin, he has his own sense of fashion, would where shorts everyday, even 30 below if I let him. He always wears short under his pant so he is always prepared.

I love Kora's style. I think she looks very trendy and cute. But, what do I know... I go around in jeans and a t-shirt most days.
The frog thing, kinda creeps me out. I wasn't surprised that Katrina liked him... she is froggylady or something.

And Miah, well, what can I say... I'm a crappy friend for forgetting to call! I hope he heals quickly!

Where did your kiddos find the frog? He is absolutely adorable! Since you love creepy crawlies so much, I decided to send you Chocco. We can't take him with us to Germany.
