My day

I've been blog hopping around reading weight loss blogs off Amanda's blog and some inspirational thoughts from Janae that have made me decide to get off my butt and start working towards a goal. Today I was brave and made my trek to the base to workout in their facility. This was my first REAL workout since Isaak. I did some walkin a few weeks after he was born but it was very short and very easy. Even though I didn't do MUCH today except the treadmill, It felt good to begin the first day of my journey to my REAL pre preg weight. Even though I don't have much to lose (I just want atleast 15 pounds gone) I need to stop complaining about my flab and DO something about it. I feel like I'm in a much easier position to lose weight as opposed to many mothers out there who are very close to one hundred pounds overweight. If they can do it (and they can because I'm reading their blogs) then why can't I?!?!
I thought the gym was pretty nice. They had a ton of equipment and lots of cardio machines so you don't have to wait around for a turn. I did a WHOPPING 45 minutes of cardio mixin fast walkin with joggin (even though it was more walkin than anything). I know it's not much, but maybe if I keep going every day I'll ONE day be able to keep up with my friendly runners Paige, Bonnie and Jessica (hey that's PB&J!)

They have a little nursery at the gym to watch Izey and Miah and I only have to donate 6 hours of my time each month in the nursery to be able to use it as much as I want! Not too shabby, I think it's a pretty good deal.

I also went to the office to have all my health stats checked. I wanna be able to SEE my progress every couple of weeks so she gave me my BMI, Fat%, and a few other things. I'll have to take my measurements at home and record them too. They also have nutrition classes I can go to and many other options to help in my weight loss. The best thing is it's all free! Workin out there, being able to track my health stats, the childcare and classes, it's free! I'm lovin the base life!

When I got home my friends, Paige (fat free) and Bonnie (Jessica/Jessica) came over with their babies and we chatted until we had to pick up our big kids at school. It was fun! I tried to get this really cute picture of Gabe (P's son) and Miah playing in my HUGE pile of clean clothes but I SUCK at taking pictures so it didn't turn out...blah.

Here's Miah wearin some of Austin's shorts with his eyeballs GLUED to the television. He's a dork. If you can tell me what movie he's watchin you'll win a prize. (P and B, you're excluded from this contest because you were there!)

Lately I've been sneakin notes into Austin's bag at night so when he gets to the base in the morning he'll be surprised. Kora caught me one night and wanted to join in on the fun. Here was the note she wrote for Dad. She said he had to have long hair in the picture like her.

This is my greasy Izey asleep in his favorite spot. Isn't he shiny?

The other day I was lookin for my taebo DVD because I was desperate for exercise and didn't know I could go on base and have childcare. ANYWAY, I found these two movies right next to each other. Should this be allowed?

(Mr. Kruger's Christmas - a church movie and Jackass 2 - the unrated version)

probably shouldn't be side by side... it makes for an awkward feeling when picking out movies. We keep the church ones separate so we don't feel guilty... otherwise... it might end up next to Borat. (by the way, we didn't BUY that movie... Janae got it as a gag gift for enos' birthday years ago and we have YET to get rid of it... but at least we haven't watched it....again.)

I'm jealous that you are losing weight and i'm sitting here a fat turd. BUT, how cool for you that it's free to use the gym...and the child care situation is great also! we need an update on the school situation! What ended up happening w/ Jake's placement? Does he like his teacher? Did you take pictures? Come on...you got my blood boiling and now you're just going to leave me hanging? You can't do that to a pregnant/hormonal woman.

Umm My kids don't watch boy movies so I have no clue what Miah was watching there was no pink, or barbie, or singing going on. Just switch Juno to the other side of Jackass and it can be a buffer, or switch Mr. Kruger's Christmas to the other side of Juno and they'll be in alphabetical order. Your 3 little kids look like they're doing well ...how's Jake (hint hint).

So, why didn't you put (fat free) next to my name... I'm just curious :-)
Anyway, I totally think we should go in together for P90X! That way we can work out in my basement and lose weight super fast! We can be totally buff and we can both be fat free like paiger!
Well, I'm gonna start working out too! I guess I can't complain any more if I'm not willing to do anything about it, huh? Since I have to lose 15 pounds too, lets make it a race. The first to lose 15 pounds gets something special... I'll have to think on it some more :-)

Cars. So easy.

Congrats on starting your weight loss journey. I am hoping I can drag these last 8 lbs or so off so I can finally be free from the flab. Blah.

I don't think I would leave the church movie next to Juno either. I have seen that evil movie promoting teen pregnancy:) I's just kidding, I really do like Juno!

So, is this what Army Wives is all about? I've never seen it, but this communal base life thing resembles what I expect it to be about.........

Why are babies so shiny at that age? I love when that part is over, even though Izey is still cute shiny.

As for the weight, good job! I think you should be my trainer. :)

Well looks like no even tried to guess the movie Miah is watching so Paw Paw guesses it is Disney's Cars. Am I right? Love Dad

Ok, so when I asked you today if you run or just wear the pants and you said you just wore the pants, in reality you were blatantly LYING to me. I see how it is. Very nice.

Go J. Lowe! I'm stoked about your gym hook ups. Sounds like a great deal. And--what a fabulous and appropriate nickname --you'll soon be sporting your pre-preg "hot" jeans and showing off your J. Lo booty.

good job with the gym, I miss that part of base life too. I actually miss a lot of things about base life, it really is much easier in so many ways. I am feeling inspired! I will have to check out the blogs you mentioned too. I just took Jade for a hike and that really got me going! (I WILL post about that soon, I'm so behind) Cute pics of the kids!
