Spanxin It!

As most of you already know, I'm dealing with the fupa I've acquired since birthing my sweet Isaak. It's no fun and frankly, I don't enjoy my belly flopping around like a salmon out of water as I walk down the street, or jiggling like fresh made jello as I drive down the road. Have any of you ever noticed how much chubbier you look when you're carrying a baby? I think it's because you lean back and distort your body to make it comfortable for both you and the babe. Whatever it is, it's not flattering. Especially if you have extra skin dangling like I do. Because of this, I've invested in my new best friend...my SPANX! Thanks to my friend Jessica, I was introduced to this fabulous piece of clothing (probably because she too was annoyed at watching the salmon flop).

The spanx has become my new best friend. I wore her today as I went to church and already received several compliments on how thin I already look just mere weeks after having a baby. Little do they know, I packed my flesh into this little number like sardines in a can. When my spanx arrived at my house, I busted the package open, anxious to try the beauty on. I was a little concerned as I pulled it out of the package because it looked like it was made to fit Isaak. THAT'S how tight it is. You may wonder if it's comfortable?? No. Of course not. But it's more comfortable than flapping flesh. And WAY more comfortable than the cheap versions of spanx found in department stores (which I also tested). And I use the uncomfortableness as motivation to get RID of the chubby instead of continuing to just hide it. My spanx will only be for temporary use (fingers crossed).

I have to wear it as my second skin, because there's no way on earth anythings getting under it. But that's okay. I'm willing to feel a little squeezed for the time being. AND I don't wear it everyday with every outfit. Only those special days when I wanna look extra hot!

They have many options when you're buying a spanx, but I chose to go with the "Higher Power Panties" shown above because it covered my trouble spots (belly, hips, butt and thighs...oh wait that's everything). The one I chose was quite affordable but they have a wide range of items and prices.
Just thought I'd share! Oh, and just so you know, I chose NOT to purchase the clear stripper heels shown in the picture to go with my stripper hair. Go Spanx!

Too bad for Austin I'm sure he would have loved the heels. I'm glad you found a solution until the baby flub is GONE!!!

Gimme a break--you have NO flub. I thought that was a picture of you. Is your skin bruised again from the tightness of the thing? I need to get one that goes all the way up to hide the fat roll from my bra strap.

I love my spanx too. I actually found it quite comfortable, I could wear it all day. I was told if you buy the right size, you should be able to sleep in it, it's that comfortable, and it will still do it's job. (also, it' doesn't roll down or up, like others tend to do through the day. If it's uncomfortable right now, you might have bought a size too small? But that's probably good, then you will get more use out of it when you have lost your so called chubs, (whatever, Lindsay said you look great), and it will make you look even better, like flawlessly smooth! I wear mine whenever I am wearing a skirt, which is like every other day. LOVE it! Make sure you are putting in on like nylons, not just pulling it up, lift it away from your body and then let it settle over your skin, that's what also keeps it from rolling down. (you probably already knew that, but just in case you didn't) :)

I don't think I could take that! I hate tight things! But I am glad you LOVE them:)

hmmm, I think I am going to have to invest in one. By the way I can hardly believe you have any flub, but loose skin is different, and it will shrink back, and this is a great holder over

My grandma always tells everyone to wear spanx! Ha! But now that I am on weight watchers, I don't need no stinkin' spanx!

i got the cheapy target version and actually.. i'm pretty satisfied with them... maybe it's because they squeeze but not enough to make my baby cry inside my stomach. and i have the salmon already... it's all watery in my belly... DISGUSTING...which i'd be okay with if the baby was actually LIVING there... but it's just like... there... and the baby's still down town. sheesh.
