This past Friday was the daddy daughter camp out in Tyler, Texas for our ward and Austin was PLANNING on taking Kora, but then things changed. Austin says he didn't want to get out there and have Kora be scared and want to come home and plus he felt like they would have a funner (is that a word?) time camping in the back of my parents' house, so that's what they did. Austin told Kora that the only rule was, you couldn't go inside the house. Little did Austin know, Kora is a master outdoorsman, unlike himself. If you haven't already seen her achievements on PawPaw and MawMaw's blog, go check it out! Anyway, Kora had a GREAT time on the camp out. She invited Jake to stay in the tent with them but he didn't last long. Before they went to bed, they invited all of us to come join them for an evening treat of Smores! It was so cozy and fun. Miah and I left the trio alone to camp, but before leaving I read some books to the gang before bedtime. Like I said, Jake opted out of the camping when it was time for bed. Kora fell right to sleep and loved it, but her father...the one who thought SHE would want to leave, he decided camping wasn't his thing so he gathered his things and scooped up the sleeping Kora to come in the house for the rest of the night. Poopstain!
Here's the view of the campsite. Don't ask me why Jake is wearing the pajama pants that go to Kora's pajama top. They look like capris on him.
Here's the little two man tent. It looks small, but it's actually pretty roomy and cozy in the inside.
Miah never got past step 1 of making Smores. Every time we put a new marshmellow on his stick, he would eat it before it even got close to the fire.
Here's me warming my toes by the fire. Why hasn't anyone ever told me that I have the longest limbiest toes in the world? They look like FINGERS!!!!
