My three boys?

Yesterday Kora was prancing around in front of my full length mirror doing all sorts of poses and stances. She then announced to me, "Mom, when I grow up I'm going to be a modeling (this is her wording), a hair cutter and a doctor." Then, after staring at herself more in the mirror she realized something and said to me, "Mom, I don't like this short hair that I have. I look like a boy. I have boy hair, a boy face and I wear boy clothes." I told her that she looked beautiful ALL the time and that she didn't HAVE to wear boy clothes, it was her choice to always pick out Jake's basketball shorts to wear. Well, that comment didn't satisfy her thoughts so she went straight to the closet to get a big blonde wig. I had given her this wig because it was older and I didn't use it anymore for Princess Parties. She has kept it stored in the closet on it's wig form and today was the day it was going to be put to good use. She flopped the wig atop her little head and fluffed her new 'do as proudly as she could. She kept brushing the new long "girl" hair back off of her shoulders and would also turn around slightly to see in the mirror how long the hair was down her back. When it was time for us to run our errands, she didn't even hesitate, she walked straight out the door with her wig, like it was nothin!

We went to the bank and as she walked in with her new glamorous look, every teller and bank associates eyes landed directly on Kora. It didn't phase her a bit, she proudly strutted through the bank and then out the door just the way she came in. It was hilarious! The teller asked me why she was wearing it so I told her the "I look like a boy" story. One of the tellers said, "That sure is a lot of hair for a little girl like you!"

Then today, she decides that she wants to wear her hair in a ponytail. I told her she didn't have much hair to pull back, but she insisted so we worked it out! It isn't like Kora to WANT something done with her hair. She's usually pretty set with it being combed and that's IT. I think she looks beautiful and you can finally see that there IS a really cute lookin little girl under that crazy mop that usually sits on her head!

Mawmaw writes that her KoKo is so precious and looks beautiful all the time. Now I never see her in boy clothes...in fact in only see her in panties. So where does she get it that she only wears boy clothes?

Love mawmaw

That's so funny! I don't think she looks like a boy at ALL! She is beautiful! She's so clever though, I must say!
