my kora valentine.

oh my dear oh my dear,
this girl is UH.MAY.ZING.
i've officially decided that she is my 2011 valentine.

a few weeks back, kora came to me all whiny and blah
saying, "i'm booooooored."
so i gave her my camera,
a tiny tripod, taught her how to use the self timer, and said,
"have at it!"

i know how much she loves taking pictures of herself.
i dunno where she gets that from.
that's weird.
and vapid. and vain. and self-centered. and conceited.

aaaaaaaand...

fun.
so when i got my camera back,
i had quite the fashion show to watch.

needless to say, she made me smile.

kora.

she's wild, crazy, hyper, dramatic, weird, hunduddlun, goofy, extremely intelligent, a leader, emotional, loving, spiritual, motherly, helpful, an example, considerate, independent, bold, gorgeous,

and about a million more adjectives.

but best of all,
she's mine.

happy valentines.

The tiny terminator

Every time Austin sees me curling my eyelashes, he calls me the terminator. SOOOO, when my precious coco crawled up on the bathroom counter (like I do when I put on my makeup) and started curling her eyelashes, all I could think of was how big my tiny terminator is getting. That night when we were in bed (kora and I) she told me that when she grows up she doesn't want to be an actor, or a house looker (someone who stands on top of houses and looks really far), or a haircutter. She said she wants to be a bear and be on American Idol and sing 1 2 3 Like a Bird I Sing (Last Dollar - Tim McGraw). I told her I think she'll do great and when I asked her if she thinks she'll win...she responded with a confident...UH YEAH!

Kora's gymnastics graduation and end of year show!

On Tuesday, I got to attend Kora's gymnastics class and watch a show they put on for all the moms. They had been practicing for this show for a week or two and did a wonderful job. It was so funny when they all came out wearing military hats with those streamer flags, I couldn't stop laughing because the music was so silly and (hun-dudle-un, for those of you who know what that means). Kora did great on the show! After the performance, they showed all the parents what they have been working on this year and I was really impressed with Kora's gymnastics "skilz". I've also included a picture of Kora in the car before the show (being her nutty self, of course) and then a picture of her whole class with her teacher. Sorry some of the pictures are darker, for some reason my camera gets dark when I zoom in even if I have the flash on...AMY! - why does it do that?

Beater Photo Session

Yesterday Kora and I made some yummy treats and she looked so precious licking her beater I tried to get a picture of it. I should have known that as soon as she saw the camera, she would turn into a goof nut and do all sorts of crazy faces. My favorite is the one straight eye, one cross eye. What a dork!!!

Surgery Girl

This morning Kora went to Cook Children's to get her tonsils and adenoids removed. She has had bad breathing issues since she was born and has a really hard time getting a good nights sleep so this is supposed to help immensely!! I'm so excited for her to finally breath clearly! At the hospital, the nurse put Kora in this red wagon and rolled her outside to go home. She LOVED the Princess treatment and all the popsicles and almost started crying when I tried to get her out of the wagon. Doesn't she look cozy? It kinda makes me wanna go curl up inside a big red wagon with pillows and blankies!

GET THE DOOR!!! It's Mahaley!!!!

This is Kora's newest friend who frequents our apartment. Mahaley and Kora are inseparable and as soon as we get home from picking up Jake and she gets her chores done...she runs out the door to find Mahaley. They play until I MAKE her come in. This is a picture of Kora and Mahaley doing their makeup together. I think they look fabulous...but that's just me!
