Frustrated

I of course decided AGAINST bringing soy back into Isaak's diet. Instead I'm trying foods slowly, running my own "tests".

Last night he woke up several times so I knew he had a sick tummy. This morning his face was covered in a red rash on his cheeks and chin which only means...allergic reaction. He was fussy and when I put him down for a nap, he puked all over the side of his bead.

ALSO, I forgot to mention that those "pokes" on his back ended up leaving a rash down to his butt crack. Two of them did this.

I called the Dr. this morning and asked for a blood allergy test to be done because I'm certain those pokes are not being as accurate as the blood would. He is putting an order in for it. Hopefully Izey won't need more blood drawn since the lady at the lab said she took enough for a blood allergy test if needs be.

3 days worth of poop and pee samples are being dropped off today as well. I can't wait for answers. I just wanna help this little guy.

I've decided that I don't like this doctor and after my results I will try to be referred elsewhere.

The dermatology referral was put in today (why the crap did it take 4 days?) so I should find out when we can go soon. I told the referral lady that the psoriasis patches on his head are now moving onto his forehead, NOT in his hairline anymore and I don't want it to get so bad that it gets on his face. She put the referral in for urgent. I hope we get on base for that, I hear those dermo's are really good.

No pics, No good news, no fun stuff...just blah. Wanted to give you an update. I am alive just busy. The Lover comes home this weekend so I have lots to do to prepare. Clothes to fold, house to clean, groceries to buy...I gotta make it look like I was SEMI productive while he was gone...YIKES!

PS...I'm growing a mustache. Why is it I have to get my stinkin lip waxed EVERY WEEK if I don't wanna look like the SHIM that works at Burger King?! I blame my mother for my fuzzy face. UGH.

Well, the bitter angry side of me is glad that you at least have a mustache.... since your husband is coming home this week. I'm a little jealous.

Good luck with the allergy search. I hope you get it figured out soon for Izey's sake.

I'd like to know more about this mustache! Is it like overgrown peachfuzz, the random black hairs, or a real 5 o'clock shadow?? More info please!!

Also, poor Izey!! I'm so sorry. Keep us updated.

I am Amanda's SIL! I had the same frustrating results with allergy testing with a few of my kids. Come to find out later, the earlier that they run the skin and even the blood tests, the more false results you can get. There could be allergies where none were detected. They are more accurate after the age of 12 to 18 months. Also, my little girl has those same REALLY bad eczema patches in the winter time. We had to go through several types of creams before we found something that worked for her to clear it up. I hope that your little guy is feeling better soon. Go with your instincts. They are usually right. Doctors don't know everything!!! :)
