Polka Spots

As most of you have heard me mention, Isaak is sick...as usual. On Tuesday I took him to the doctor to make sure his ear infection had cleared up and to discuss his allergies. I've been giving him the soy based formula but he still seems unsettled with it. The doctor suggested that I switch him BACK to milk based for 3 days and then 3 days on the milk based lactose free. He wanted to see how Isaak reacted with both and he told me that I would be able to tell which would be better for him. I started him on the milk based regular formula that day and OOOOOh the sadness. Poor little Isaak just does NOT sit well with lactose. He immediately broke out AGAIN with a rash on his tummy...blow up the picture to see the red polka spots. He also broke out on his face (as seen here) and all of his eczema spots got REALLY irritated, red and started spreading. This was all only after TWO days of milk based regular so I wasn't going for the third and I took him straight to the milk based lactose free formula. WOW the difference. All rashes are gone, he's eating solids again (which he stopped for a LONG time) and he's happier. No more whining, no more vomiting (as of yet) and no more polka spots.
I thought you'd enjoy this picture of him on the very edge of the kitchen counter. Don't worry, I'm standing RIGHT there..see my grey sweatshirt?

Ever since I got my new furniture I've been digging boxes out of the garage, excited to put my old stuff in them to show them off. I've had most of my breakable special stuff packed for over 8 years since I've had no place to keep them all safe. Funny thing about those 8 years though...my taste has changed...A LOT. I found my old pig collection I started when I was super little. Sadly, they'll never be displayed together because I'm just not that into the whole idea of pigs anymore *shrug*. I've decided to get rid of the whole thing except for the porcelain one on the far left. It's a piggy bank my Aunt Lily made me so it's special enough to make it into my depression cabinet. I'm also keeping 2 smaller ones that have some meaning but the rest will go. Natalie...you see some of the pigs you got me when we were kids?! Can you believe I still have those?!

My NEW collection is seen below. I am LOVING my tea cups and saucers. Most of these I already had stored away for years and years. Who knew I had such a great collection right? I also got a few of them at antique stores and flea markets (see those "fugly" ones Jess?! Yeah that's right..MINE). My favorite set is the top shelf far right blue flowers and my favorite single is the top shelf center white one with the blue stripe...it's sooooo dainty and fragile...I just wanna hug it! It's definitely a more mature collection than the pigs. Funny though...I don't drink tea or coffee :)

PRIVATES has something good! Go see!!!

Poor Izey:(

I am glad you found what works for him!!!!!

Love the tea-cups....I also love pigs--But I am so anal about having too much stuff that I doubt I will ever have a collection of anything!

Wow, I have a lot in common with this blog... Noah has had a red, spotty rash, but his is now going away and his doctor said it was viral...

I also used to collect pigs when I was growing up, but mine disappeared long ago, I have no idea where...

Sorry, I forgot to say that I hope Isaac gets all better soon! It's so horrible when things are wrong with them, and of course, they can't just tell you what's wrong! Hope the new formula works... :)

Poor baby boy...hope he's on his way to being well for a long time now!

Hehe...hey, you asked for opinions - I delivered! As long as YOU love them, that's all that matters, right?!? :)

Poor Izey... man I sound like a broken record. I just can't believe how much that little man has to go through! He looks so sad in that picture!

By the way, I love the tea cups... but I don't see any "fugly" ones! I think they are all cute. But I LOVE the blue print one in the center of the top shelf. I have always wanted a whole set of dishes in that sort of print! I just think that it's such a classic print.

Poor Izey!! I don't like him in Polka spots...he's much cuter without that accessory!

NOT THE PIGS!!!! I feel sad for them...a part of me has died today. I remember giving you a ceramic (i think) pig that I hand picked at Canton...awww!

So LOVE the tea sets. Too cute.
