Pictures from the visit!! sweet, huh? There isn't much to say except that Jake LOVED LOVED it. He was so proud. I know I've mentioned this before, but Jake holds his emotions in when he's in public so even though he was jumping for joy inside, Austin said he just sat there quietly with a big smile on his face the whole time.
Here's a picture of the three boys. Jones is a Lt. at the office who will also be going with Austin to VA when he leaves. He doesn't have his Delta's yet so he just wore a Marine polo. How appropriate is it that the sign next to Austin's head reads, "AND JUSTICE FOR ALL"?? After lunch, Mrs. Garrison asked Austin and Jones to come back to the class to talk to the kids for a while about what they do and who they are. The kids asked them questions and all got stickers and pencils. Don't you just know Jakob felt so proud that HIS dad was there answering all those questions? I made Austin swing by McDonalds and give me the camera on his way back to work so I could post the pictures up quickly, I couldn't wait. Plus it was a good excuse for me to have a hot lookin Marine kiss me in front of everyone!! *wink*

On another note, here's the rocket ship Jakob made for his school project. They had to make something out of recycled materials. He chose a rocket ship and did a fantastic job on it!

The finished product.

That is SOOOO AWESOME!!! Jake will ALWAYS remember that! Seriously, that is so neat! I forgot what it was like to live in a place other than a military base with a spouse in the service. When you live on base, it's nothing exciting, because EVERY child at that school has a parent in uniform. This is just the coolest thing, what a great way to encourage pride in the services with the kids. I just can't get over how cool this day must have felt for Jake. And a super cool rocket ship! Awesome creativity Jake!

You can see how proud Jake is in his eyes.

Whenever I'd make school projects, I'd use to much glue and get massive headaches. . . then I couldn't even turn them in anyways. Sigh.

That rocket rocks.
