Don't worry Amanda, I'm here! This is the update:
While trying to find the heartbeat with the doppler she had a really hard time. Every time she would put it somewhere, there was a big *swish* noise so she'd have to try in a different spot. After about 5-7 minutes of this, I was freakin out thinkin this was where I hear the bad news but then all of a sudden, my Dr. starts laughing. I look at her like she's crazy and say "WHAT?" She said that swooshing noise is the baby turning. She said it obviously doesn't want to let us hear the heart beat because every time I put the doppler on it, the baby turns the other direction. I was super relieved. Since she never did get a reading for the heart beat, she went a head and did another sonogram. I wasn't going to argue because I LOVE sonograms!!! We saw the heart and face and everything. Kora and Miah were with me and the doctor was so sweet pointing out all of the baby's parts to them. She "explored" for a while and I'm pretty sure she knows the sex, but she knew that I was scheduled to come in on Feb. 4th with Austin so I don't think she wanted to give it away yet.
SO, everything is good and fine. I have to take my blood test for Down's on Monday. I can't WAIT for the BIG sonogram and to find out what it is. I'm so excited!!
Miah keeps asking if I'm okay and if the baby is coming out yet. He's going to have a really hard time waiting until June/July for the big moment. Right now, his favorite show in the mornings is TLC's Baby Story. As soon as we get Jake off to school, he runs upstairs, gets cozy under my blankets and asks me to turn the TV off (he means on) so he can watch "the baby coming out".
That's it!! Thanks for worrying about me :)
ps.. one more thing! I tried that new sandwhich chain called "Which Wich" and it is absolutely DEEEElicious! You have to try it out if you know what I'm talking about. They have the funnest little system when ordering and the kids got a big kick outta being so "in charge" of their food.
