A list of Junk with a little Spunk

1. It's Christmas Eve! Are you done shopping? Not me!

2. Miah is showing signs of being sick again. Would it be possible for us to go at least a MONTH without anyone being sick? MOTHER!

3. I can't stop waking up at 7am even though I don't have to get Jake ready for school, what's up with that!?

4. Size D, yep that's me. I decided to go ahead and purchase some new braziers so that my cup doesn't runneth over anymore. I'm basically LIVING in bras now which is no fun. I'm serious though, even sleeping in them. When I take them off, it feels like I have 10 pound weights pulling the skin from my neck to the floor....UGH.

5. I have 4 more parties left. Three the first weekend in Jan., and then one on the 19th. YIKES, am I going to make it until then?

6. I've been procrastinating the day of my baking and now I have lots to do today. I'm making those cute little mini pecan pies for the party tomorrow. They are super delicious but time consuming because I have to do a tiny pie crust for all 6 million of them.

7. I made eggrolls last night and they were superb. Want the recipe? Leave me a comment with your email!

8. I'm getting tired of looking at all of my clothes in the closet that I CAN'T wear so I've made an executive decision. I'm not going to be able to wear ANY of them any more while we're living here so why even have them out? I'm going ahead and packing them up in a big plastic bin and taking them to storage. This way, I don't try them on for spits and giggles just to SEE how they look and then get all depressed when they obviously do NOT fit right. Now, I'm forced to wear only what fits me.

9. The new dilemma is I need new clothes now. Anyone have any cute maternity stuff they wanna give me?!?! I saw some cute shirts at Gap.com that I'm going to order. I basically lived off of Gap Maternity with Kora so I already know I like their fit. Speaking of which, where ARE all of my old Gap shirts?

10. The second dilemma is maternity jeans. I HATE THEM. I'm super picky about my jeans as it is and I only like a FEW brands. Miss Me, 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity. SO, I could either spend tons of money getting designer maternity jeans that I won't wear after the next 6 months...uhm NO. OR I can wear off brand nothings that make my butt look weird and motherly and they aren't even long enough. What is up with that? Why can't they make maternity jeans LONG?? HELP!!!! Does anyone know of some CUTE maternity jeans that are also affordable? What did I do for jeans in the past? I can't remember!

11. BTW, I go through this whole depressed I can't wear anything phase each time, just ignore me. (but not if you have suggestions!)

12. I want some shrimp and lemonade.

I have been loving shrimp dippe din cocktail sauce and the honey seared shrimp from Pei Wei! How funny! And P and I just made homemade lemonade the other day:) I think you should just buy some designer jeans that you love-----Come on it's worth it! You obliviously won't be happy unless you have some! I am wearing Gap long and lean maternity but I have to safety pin the little band part b/c I had to get a huge size for my booty and it is too big in the waist....I know i should get a bella band...we will see...... My belly has popped out a lot sooner this time than with P and as usual I have already put on too much weight b/c i must eat 24/7 to not feel sick! Pregnancy and I do not get along! GOOD LUCK!

I gave my maternity clothes away to a coworker's wife who I don't even LIKE!! What's up with that!? I bought a lot of Gap maternity, and even though it doesn't fit quite right, some Old Navy as well. For jeans, I think I bought mostly Gap and maybe one pair from Motherhood.

Sorry you're feeling icky. I would bet my last dollar you are an ADORABLE pregnant lady!

Recipe please.

I found my maternity jeans at Motherhood, which surprised me. They are MUCH different than the selection I found when I was prego with Tara. I don't know if they would be long enough on you though (they may have different lengths). I like that they have front and back pockets so they don't look as motherly as others. I refuse to buy anything else at that store because they are way overpriced for cheap stuff, but I am liking my jeans. One pair cost $20 and the other that I LOVE cost $40. good luck!! Deanna

This is an old friend of your mom's. Sorry, I'm snooping on your blog. But, I think you and your family is adorable. Sorry about your pregnancy "icks". I know what you mean... My baby is 9 mos old and so pregnancy wasn't that long ago. I remember feeling the same way. Nothing fits right! Sorry, I'm kind of a cheap skate, so I got the cheap brands, so I don't have any suggestions about jeans. I've heard those Bella bands are nice. Good luck, though. And, also, I would love your egg roll recipe. I LOVE egg rolls! Happy New Year! Laura Jansson

OK, I am a super cheapy when it comes to Maternity, so this is what I did. I invested in a few cute jeans and a good cord skirt from Motherhood. Then I went to Target and bought a ton of simple (long) shirts that were stretchy, and I lived in those. I bought a few nice maternity shirts, but seriously, I hardly wore them. I just got lots of cute long, stretchy shirts and sweaters, and wore them tight fit over my tummy. I also bought a bunch of tight, spandex feeling sport tanks and wore those under my regular stretch T's so my under-belly wouldn't show. I always got TONS of complements and people asking me where I boutht my maternity clothes. It saved me a ton of money and I still wear the long shirts and tanks as layerd items, so I truly got my money's worth. Sorry, I gave all my maternity clothes away AS SOON AS I COULD!

And I want the eggroll recipe!

Also, I wore alot of knit skirts or stretchy skirts and just rolled the waist down. WAY more comfy than pants and alot more flattering on the booty when it's getting a bit wide, then add tight shirts and you will look like a smookin hot mama!

YO MAMA COMMENTS: I have no suggestions for you baby. Sorry, my butt was wide every dang time I got pregnant. Oh and now also even after my last child(who by the way just turned 25) I am not a specialist in making the butt look cute during pregnancy or anytime for that matter. Just remember though that the girls now are so much cuter pregnant than we older ones were. I like the way you wear stuff tight on your tummy where we wore those baggy tops. YUCK! Don't buy those expensive jeans. Too much money. Even I say that. If you read this comment and mention it to me, then I will give you a little dough for clothes. I was thinking of a cute way to help you in that area so now the game is on. At one time I had to READ your blog to find something out...NOW you have to read my comment to know of my offer.
Love you dearly and am so enjoying you all being here with us.
