After Austin left from this last visit we have both gone down hill. I've been majorly depressed which is not healthy for me, Isaak or the other grubs. Austin too, he's had a hard time getting back into the swing of things in VA and focusing on his job there. We both decided that it felt like it was time to move on. All the things that were holding us back in the beginning have fixed themselves. My business is sold, my baby is out and the kids are out for the Summer ready to start school in the Fall. It just feels right this time.
Even though he'll be done in early November, we'll probably stay through the end of the year before we move to our duty station. That way the kids can finish a full semester before we yank 'em out. I'm a little sad about leaving my family and all my new friends I've made, but that's the good thing about blogging, they'll only be a click away!! SOOO, that's a hint to those of you who don't have a blog...GET ONE.
The kids are already totally hyped about the move. Jake made a calendar with 24 days on it so he can count down how many left until we move. Unfortunately, my dad JUST started having a pool be built and it won't be ready before we leave. He has been BEGGING us to stay until it's done just for one swim, but we just can't. I need to get there as soon as possible to do everything that needs to be done before the kids start school in mid August. Sorry Daddy, I love you though. YaY!!! Aren't you all happy for us!?!??!?
Actually, the REAL reason we didn't move before Isaak was born was to receive THIS little beauty from the city of Dallas...Nothing like being able to say you're a TRUE TEXAN!
2. I forgot to mention in a recent post that Isaak was PERFECT when we went to see Wall-E, but then again, he's ALWAYS perfect :) Before we went into the movie, I had to change his diaper and clothes because he peed on himself again. This is how he looked in the front seat while I was changing him. Dead from the Texas heat.
8. Uhhhmmm...NO, I will NOT be posting up photos of my tramp stamp for you to laugh at. I'll use that as leverage to get you to visit me in real life, how's that? My other tattoo is on my shoulder and you can plainly see it in Isaak's birth slide show when I'm getting my epidural. DO the research. It's the Japanese character for "mother" because my children are about an 1/8 Japanese. And also because more often than not, I act like a child and need to have the tattoo there to remind me that I AM the mother.
