A list of MAJOR junk - you gotta read this!!

1. First and foremost I have a HUGE announcement!! I'm pregnant again!!! Just kidding. (can you imagine? is that even possible?) No, but for real...WE'RE MOVING TO VIRGINIA!!!!! That's right, in less than three weeks we are outta here and back to being a family again!! I can't wait. I'm SOOO excited!! Things are gonna be crazy trying to get it all together before then but I don't even care, I just can't wait to have a place that feels like OUR home. Even if it's messy with boxes and babies, it will be ours and we'll be back together.

After Austin left from this last visit we have both gone down hill. I've been majorly depressed which is not healthy for me, Isaak or the other grubs. Austin too, he's had a hard time getting back into the swing of things in VA and focusing on his job there. We both decided that it felt like it was time to move on. All the things that were holding us back in the beginning have fixed themselves. My business is sold, my baby is out and the kids are out for the Summer ready to start school in the Fall. It just feels right this time.

Even though he'll be done in early November, we'll probably stay through the end of the year before we move to our duty station. That way the kids can finish a full semester before we yank 'em out. I'm a little sad about leaving my family and all my new friends I've made, but that's the good thing about blogging, they'll only be a click away!! SOOO, that's a hint to those of you who don't have a blog...GET ONE.

The kids are already totally hyped about the move. Jake made a calendar with 24 days on it so he can count down how many left until we move. Unfortunately, my dad JUST started having a pool be built and it won't be ready before we leave. He has been BEGGING us to stay until it's done just for one swim, but we just can't. I need to get there as soon as possible to do everything that needs to be done before the kids start school in mid August. Sorry Daddy, I love you though. YaY!!! Aren't you all happy for us!?!??!?

Actually, the REAL reason we didn't move before Isaak was born was to receive THIS little beauty from the city of Dallas...Nothing like being able to say you're a TRUE TEXAN!

2. I forgot to mention in a recent post that Isaak was PERFECT when we went to see Wall-E, but then again, he's ALWAYS perfect :) Before we went into the movie, I had to change his diaper and clothes because he peed on himself again. This is how he looked in the front seat while I was changing him. Dead from the Texas heat.

3. As cute as this picture is, it makes me sad because it shows how much he's growing. Look at those little leggies that used to be so thin and bony. Now they got some meat and are lookin thicker. WHY...why do they have to grow up????

4. This one's for Tara and Staci. Here's Isaak in his new wrap that Tara had Staci send me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's perfect. Stretchy, but cool and just the right size. Can't u tell he loves it too? Are babies allowed to be THAT precious?!!? I mean come on...don't ya wanna just squeeze and bite him?

5. Ever since Isaak came home, Roscoe has fallen in love with pacifiers. He loved them so much and kept stealing Isaak's blue ones that we decided to give the harder yellow ones to him to keep.

6. This may be gross to you guys, but just yesterday Isaak had his first real REAL bath. Not just a sponge bath, not a sink bath where I hold him and drip water on him, a REAL in the tub bathing bath. I'm not sure why, but I'm petrified of giving newborns baths. I think it's cuz they're so tiny, wiggly, and slippery when wet. I freak out about it and get all nervous and crazy. SOO, my friend Suzan gave me this wonderful bathtub contraption that I don't think they make anymore and it's been wonderful! I jump in the tub with him, lay him on the contraption and we're both good! No having to hold him the entire time, no yucky baby baths to clean out, it's perfect! Why don't they make these anymore? Pardon the sunshine, our family has large jewels! hehe! I would have told Kora to keep my naked self in the picture but I didn't wanna have to draw TOO many sunshines.

7. Today my friend Natalie saved my life and the lives of my three heathens by taking them away for the day so I could get some things done. Awwww...it was suPERB. I did some much needed errands and then took the advice of my friend Dena and went shopping for myself. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that made me look like a size 4 so I didn't buy anything, but I still had an enjoyable time being free of older kids. Isaak rode in my wrap all day and when I tried things on, he napped on the bench in the changing room. I swear...he's so lazy.

8. Uhhhmmm...NO, I will NOT be posting up photos of my tramp stamp for you to laugh at. I'll use that as leverage to get you to visit me in real life, how's that? My other tattoo is on my shoulder and you can plainly see it in Isaak's birth slide show when I'm getting my epidural. DO the research. It's the Japanese character for "mother" because my children are about an 1/8 Japanese. And also because more often than not, I act like a child and need to have the tattoo there to remind me that I AM the mother.

I'm SO excited for you and your family! I can't imagine doing what you've done and I give you major props for making it work for as long as you did. I can't wait to read about your moving adventures and hearing how excited you and the kiddos are to see Austin daily once you get there.

And I HAD to watch your birth video again...and I just had to comment...you look GREAT during the entire birth! I hope I look that good when I'm there one day!

Good luck packing!

I like this list.. i can tell a MAJOR change in your attitude. I'm glad you'll be moving so you can be together again... that was just too sad. I thought about you and your sadness everyday after we left until you called me and told me that you were moving. Poor daddy and his empty pool. They'll just have to have lauren and aidan over a lot.

Well Sandra and the rest of you for that matter just do your happy dance for Jessica but I am her mother and i am very sad about them leaving. I for sure think that it is best because I know how much she misses Austin but I will miss them being just upstairs and that makes me very sad. Oh well. Also, Jessica Kempton I have been known to make dinners for Austin when he came in town. I know my Jess led you to believe that i only do that for Lindsay and Enos but the egg rolls the first night Lindsay and Enos were here were made because I know Austin likes them and so does my Jakob. Mother of Jessica...and Amy and Lindsay.
