16 Bottles

Yep, that's right. That's how many of these little boogers I have handy. Although it may sound like a lot, it's never enough. When Lindsay and Enos were here they continued to comment on how horrible it must be for me to have to clean all 16 bottles every 24 hours. Yes, you're right guys, it sucks. I contemplate buying more bottles but then I try to tell myself he won't ALWAYS eat like a cow (Do cows really eat a lot? I can't imagine anything eating more than Isaak).
There needs to be a solution to the bottle cleaning stress. Oh wait, there is, it's called boobing. Nevermind.
Compared to boobing, it's really not THAT bad. I can take it anywhere, do it anywhere and it's always ready when I need it to be, always the right temp, just a little pour and shake and it's ready. But then again, the formula isn't my issue, it's those dang bottles.
If only we went through enough dishes every day to fill the dishwasher and have all the bottles magically ready for me in the morning. Maybe we would if I cooked dinner (and breakfast and lunch) and didn't eat almost everything straight off the table (or use paper plates when we're feeling fancy). Maybe there would be more dishes to fill the washer along with those stinkin bottles.
Your know what, forget it. I'm going to Target tomorrow to buy at least a few more bottles. It can't hurt, right? When he gets older and doesn't eat as much we'll probably end up leaving a bottle here and there (the park, church, McDonalds, a friend's house, etc.) so the extra amount will never be an issue, only a plus.
I feel better now. Hopefully I'll only need to clean bottles every 36 hours now. Ugghhhh....

Buy more bottles. I'll send you a Target gift card to help you escape the boobing. :)

buy more:) I have never had to use many of them...sorry:( When we do give one I use the playtex ones with drop in plastic liners so all I have to was is the nipples and tops. And I rinse those and then put them in a Meduela Steam Clean bag in the microwave for 1.5 min.....and they are sanitized and I am done!

OK, maybe I'm a bad mom, but I rinse and reuse a bottle a couple of times if he drinks within a few hours of each other. (I rinse and shake with a little soap and hot water and set at the sink for the next "drink". My girlfriend also uses a bottle cleaner, not sure what it's called, but it sits on top of the counter, looks almost like a crockpot, and you stick a few bottles in it and it's like a mini-dishwasher. Go buy that instead of more bottles. 16 is alot woman! Remember, you will like being a minimalist later on when you are moving all the crap. Linsday will tell you, I know from experience what it's like to move with excess. (or trying to find space in a small appartment/base housing for all the crap) Go try the bottle-cleaner appliance, it probably costs the same as buying 4 or 5 Avent bottles? My girlfriend swore by it. (I just rinse and run the dishwasher every other day and my kids are all alive and healthy) DON'T buy more bottles, you have options! 16 sheesh! (16 is fine, but I think I will have to call you if you buy more, just think of small base housing kitchens in the future!)

I used disposable drop ins so the only thing that had to be washed each time was the nipple. But I did that more because I could also store the breast milk in the drop ins...

I say fill up the dishwasher. Then they'll be ready for you the next day!

HA! I just read Amanda's comment... I also used the steam clean bags. You should take a look at those!

POOP. I don't wanna do that. But i think i'll still have to even if i DO boob because i'm not big on whippin' it out in public. i'll just pump i guess... jeez.. i dunno.

You can never have enough bottles. My baby is 14 months and I only have about 4 of those Avents left. She started biting the nipples too... which would be the main reason I had stopped "boobing' as you call it. Nothing like a nice sharp bite in the middle of the night!! That's what you call a show stopper, right there!!!

holy cow. i hope boobing works for me, I don't want to deal with washing bottles. I DESPISE dirty dishes with a passion. You should price the bottle cleaners, those Avent bottles are EXPENSIVE, aren't they?

Who says the dishwasher has to be full to run it? I've been known to just run it with bottles. It beats cleaning them by hand!
