Yesterday I ran out and got donuts for the heathens before they woke up to surprise them on Jake's first official day of Summer Break. They all slept in my room with my that night so we had blankets all over the place.
We also went to Roscoe's yearly shots updated and Miah decided he had to pee. This is his new trick. The first time I asked him to do this was at the park and he looked at me like I was an idiot and froze up when the spotlight was on him. The NEXT time, we were at another park with two other boys who had to go and did it right in front of Miah. This made him realize it's okay and he LOVES doing it now, he feels like a man. He has no shame and frankly, neither do I. I would much rather all my children do this method instead of sitting on nasty toilets everywhere.
Okay, okay...here they are. The haircut pics. Everything went great today! I am very pleased and excited to try new styling methods with this cut. The bangs aren't AS thick as the picture but she explained to me that I don't have thick enough hair for THAT thick of bangs. I understand that and I see the reasoning. She did, however, make them much fuller and thicker than I have received in the past, which I like. After the haircut, Kora and I waited in the car for Jake to be done with his birthday party and we got silly eating our candy. I figured I'd just use these pics as my hair pics for you and as I change the style (straightened, wavy, etc.) I'll take pics along the way and post them to update. Sound good?
Kora asked me on the way home if my hair was always going to look like this from now on. I said, "yeah, it will grow out but I'll probably keep getting my bangs trimmed to stay short." She just sighed and stared out the window. When I asked her why she asked me, she said, "Because I want the mother back that I KNOW." I guess this is her way of telling me she doesn't like it?
Jake said he likes it and it makes me look 22. So I'm all for that.
